Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province reported that the number of its export enterprises exceeded 1,000 for the first time in 2021 – reaching 1,008 companies – of which 683 are production-oriented enterprises, accounting for 67.8 percent.

The city is understood to have been attaching great importance to the development of new export enterprises in recent years.

According to municipal officials, the new export businesses will become an important driving force for the growth of the city's foreign trade.

To top it off, last year the number of enterprises in Lishui with an annual exports worth more than 100 million yuan ($15.79 million) reached 60.
