Tourism thrives in Lishui over Spring Festival holiday

Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province offered a raft of fun culture and tourism activities for its people during the Spring Festival holiday from Jan 30 to Feb 6 – generating excitement and boosting spending – local media reported.
The city's Jinyun Xiandu Scenic Spot and Heyang Ancient Dwellings jointly launched a culture and folk customs activity. It not only let the tourists experience the quaint and fascinating charms of Heyang paper cutting and other handicrafts, but also gave them the opportunity to taste delicious and authentic local dishes such as preserved pork and braised fresh bamboo shoots.
In order to boost consumer spending during the break, the city also issued a number of coupons and vouchers, to appeal to different types of demand. As of Feb 5, some 26,699 coupons had been used with a total amount of 533,980 yuan ($84,069).
In addition, in the wake of all the Spring Festival good cheer and fun, the onset of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games has seen the public's enthusiasm for ice and snow sports reach an unprecedented high.
The Beidou Cliff Scenic Area – with its outdoor ski resort – has become one of the most popular holiday spots in Lishui, receiving more than 2,860 tourists and realizing 460,000 yuan in ticket revenue during the Spring Festival holiday.
