The video contest is sponsored by the Information Office of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and the Zhejiang Radio & TV Group. It was organized by the Zhejiang Radio & TV Group Overseas Center (ZTV WORLD).
The inaugural edition of the contest, held in 2020, reached more than 100 million people and garnered more than 100 million views, becoming an excellent platform for domestic and overseas video creators to discuss and showcase the beauty of Zhejiang from various angles.
The second edition, launched in July 2021, received over 800 works by video creators from across the world within just three months. The contest's organizing committee selected 366 works to enter the online voting stage running from Oct 29 to Nov 5, 2021. There were a total of 1.41 million votes and 8.69 million clicks, roughly three times more than the inaugural contest.
In December, 262 works were shortlisted for professional evaluation. The professional judge panel, consisting of nine senior professionals from home and abroad, scored each of the works fairly. The organizing committee then hosted a final appraisal meeting, in which the ultimate winners were announced.
Huang Wei, director-general of Zhejiang TV International, chaired the meeting and extended a heartfelt thanks to every contestant who showcased the charm of Zhejiang through their unique stories and perspectives.
