In order to further enhance its COVID-19 nucleic acid testing capacity and improve the flexibility of nucleic acid testing resources allocated in the mountain regions, Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province recently introduced a mobile nucleic acid testing vehicle.
The vehicle – about 17 meters long – is a miniature nucleic acid testing laboratory. It has separate areas for reagent preparation, sample preparation, amplification analysis, and sterilization. It is also equipped with a visual intelligent control system to ensure constant temperature, pressure, and humidity.
The vehicle can examine about 10,000 nucleic acid testing tubes per day. Once an outbreak occurs, it can immediately travel to the outbreak area and conduct nucleic acid testing on the spot.
It greatly improves the capacity and efficiency of collection, delivery, inspection, and reporting of nucleic acid testing, realizing timely and efficient response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
