Lishui's retail sales jump 14.7 % in Jan-Nov

From January to November, retail sales of consumer goods in Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province totaled 13.43 billion yuan ($2.11 billion), up 14.7 percent year-on-year, the city's statistics bureau announced recently.

During the period, sales of food and clothing products – reflecting the needs of people's everyday lives – grew steadily, while sales of products that reflect the upgrading of more sophisticated consumption maintained rapid growth.

Cosmetics, household appliances and audio-video equipment, and gold, silver and jewelry grew by 60.8 percent, 36 percent and 8.5 percent respectively. 

Driven by online shopping festivals such as "Double 11", online consumer demand continued to rise in Lishui.

From January to November, total online retail sales hit 2.87 billion yuan, for year-on-year growth of 39.2 percent.
