Members of the new alliance at the ceremony signed the "Lishui energy and electric power industry to promote low-carbon development action initiative".
They also issued the "zero carbon development special action report," which was released by State Grid Lishui Electric Power Company.
Initiated by the power utility and the Lishui City Development and Reform Commission, the alliance aims to combine the resources and strengths of industry associations, environmental protection groups, professional institutions and leading companies in the electricity production and supply sector.
The alliance will move to deepen exchanges and cooperation in low-carbon technology research and development, demonstrations and applications.
In the future, the alliance will undertake ventures in the key areas of emissions reductions, green energy use, zero carbon power grids and low-carbon living and establish four corresponding committees to oversee them.
