Zhejiang tightens epidemic policies in traveling

East China's Zhejiang province recently released a string of measures concerning travelling to and from the province.

The measures come as part of local authorities' efforts to contain the virus amid the sporadic outbreaks in the nation.

Tours organized by local public institutions and enterprises to places which reported local transmitted cases will be suspended.

The number of visitors to scenic spots in Zhejiang as well as public venues including cinemas and internet cafes will be limited to 75 percent of their maximum capacity.

In addition, stricter approval procedures will be put in place for events like performances and sports games in the province.

Xia Shichang, deputy head of the Zhejiang provincial health commission, said at a news conference on Oct 26 that that the province has expanded its COVID-19 vaccination program to cover children from the age of 3.
