The Ministry of Culture and Tourism released a list of 22 new national 5A-level scenic spots on Jan 7, that included Xiandu Scenic Spot in Lishui, in East China's Zhejiang province.

Located 7 kilometers east of Jinyun county, Xiandu Scenic Spot has been famous since the Sui Dynasty (581-618). Covering 166 square kilometers, the scenic spot is set among beautiful streams, clouds and mist that give the area a sense of mystery and sacredness, and the beautiful mountains have inspired many painters.

Starting from the 1950s, Xiandu has always been a shooting location for many film and TV directors because of its natural wonders. So far, about 200 films and TV shows have been shot there, earning Xiandu the name of "natural film studio".
