3. Build a main platform for ecological industry based on Vanyang low-carbon smart manufacturing town

Vanyang low-carbon smart manufacturing town is located in the gently sloping area of Bihu town, which is the main industrial bearing platform in Liandu district. The town is 16 kilometers from the urban area, or 20 minutes' drive. It is listed as a provincial key project.

The planned area of the project is 295 ha, and the construction land area is 190 ha. The total investment is planned to be 13.5 billion yuan ($1.9 billion). The project is committed to building a featured industrial town that integrates intelligent manufacturing R&D, e-commerce, warehousing and logistics, production and living facilities, financial services, intelligent park management and production and living facilities, and can accommodate 50,000 to 60,000 people.

At present, the town has attracted 141 enterprises to settle there, with the construction area of 58 ha and 72 top-notch factories. The total investment has accumulated to 1.61 billion yuan and the first 11 companies went into production at the end of last year.

4. Guyan Huaxiang characteristic town features a tourism cultural and creative platform

Guyan Huaxiang characteristic town is located in Liandu district. Its core area covers 3.91 sq km. In the town, there is the living fossil of human agriculture and water conservancy civilization, Tongji Weir, and a military production base that has made outstanding contributions to the country – Zhejiang iron factory. The town is also the cradle of a typical representative of Chinese vernacular painting – "Lishui Barbizon School".

Relying on its superior resources, the town has been listed as a world heritage for irrigation works and is on the UNESCO heritage list. It is a national 4A-level scenic spot, the first demonstration base for China's rural tourism and one of the first characteristic towns in Zhejiang.

In 2017, the town was successfully dubbed a sketching base for the Chinese Artists Association. It is also the main creative base of the first "hometown of photography" named by China Photographers Society. The town receives more than 150,000 sketching artists every year. There are many shops such as art galleries and homestays, and nearly 200 makers have settled and developed there.

At present, Guyan Huaxiang, in accordance with the "three towns" concept (art town, tourist town and entrepreneurial town), is focusing on the development of cultural creativity, the oil painting market, leisure and health, rehabilitation and recreation tourism and other industries, and is carrying out several major investment and infrastructure projects to speed up its upgrading of the three bases and one center (bases for painting, creation, commercial oil painting production and tourist resort center).

5. Create Oujiang River tourism belt along the Oujiang River basin

With "ecological tourism, leisure and health maintenance (pension), and cultural creativity" as the guide, create Oujiang River style tourism holiday resort, the plan is to accelerate construction of the four major areas of Guyan Huaxiang scenic area, Jiulong National Wetland Park, Shiniu Hot Spring Resort, and Sidu recreational area.

Liandu district will beautify the coastal levee wetland landscape, connect natural villages along the coast, enrich special tourism traffic systems, extend functions such as ecological tourism, leisure and health maintenance (pension), and cultural creative, making Oujiang River the aorta that shapes the ecological pattern of the urban and rural areas of Liandu.

6. Build a rehabilitation and recreation tourism platform around the Dongxi Rock scenic area and northern mountain areas

The district will connect the townships of the She ethnic group and Dongxi Rock scenic area, with the latter as the core and Xuanping Creek watershed as the axis, to integrate the functions of "She ethnic group's folk custom experience, agriculture sightseeing tourism, and Danxia landform expeditions", and develop characteristic industries such as She ethnic group experience, mountain tourism and farming experiences, thus accelerating the upgrading and transformation of  Dongxi Rock scenic area and construction of other comprehensive tourism service projects.

In the meantime, Liandu will integrate the landscape resources of Liancheng-Taiping and Yaxi-Xiandu, further develop characteristic industries such as shiitake and tea, characteristic fruits, ancient folk house culture, red tourism and summer leisure, and attract rehabilitation and recreation tourism projects along the Xuanping Creek watershed and the Taiping Harbor basin.
