The 14th China Commodity Market Forum released the Top 100 Most Comprehensive Commodity Markets list on Nov 26. Zhejiang province led the nation with 29 markets on the list, including five from Jinhua.
Chinagoods topped the ranking, followed by Zhejiang China Technology Hardware City, East China Jinhua Agricultural Products Logistics Center (Jinhua Fruit Wholesale Market), Zhejiang Dongyang China Woodcarving City, and Dongyang Garden Rosewood Furniture City, which placed 24th, 54th, 78th, and 85th, respectively.
Jinhua's regional specialty economy and industrial clusters have fostered numerous commodity markets. Known as the world supermarket, Chinagoods in Yiwu houses 75,000 shops, offering 26 major categories and over 2.1 million products sold to more than 200 countries and regions worldwide.
Relying on a complete industrial chain, active private economy, and advanced digital technologies, the city has recently been promoting market innovations and upgraded market tiers, accelerating its transformation and showing renewed vitality.
According to the Jinhua market supervision bureau, in 2024, the sales of one market exceeded 100 billion yuan ($14.13 billion), six surpassed 10 billion yuan, and 73 exceeded 100 million yuan. Total market transactions in 2024 reached 485.37 billion yuan, up 16.40 percent year-on-year, while transactions in the first three quarters of 2025 already reached 388.15 billion yuan.
