Yiwu establishes first mandarin duck photography base

Nanwangdian village near the Nanjiang River in Yiwu, Zhejiang province, was recently designated a mandarin duck photography base, local media reported on March 14.
The mandarin duck photography base will serve as an exchange and learning platform for photographers to take photos of the natural landscapes and birds of the Nanjiang River.

Nanjiang River, known as the most beautiful river in Yiwu, is the largest tributary of the Yiwu River.
The Nanjiang River's improved water quality and environment have attracted a large number of rare water birds, including over 100 mandarin ducks.
In Nanwangdian village near the Nanjiang River, large groups of colorful mandarin ducks can often be seen playing in the water or flying along the river.
The mandarin duck is a famous ornamental bird in China and a national second-class protected wild animal.
Although mandarin ducks are migratory, they can be spotted during multiple seasons around Nanwangdian village near Nanjiang River.
