More young people expected to contribute to rural development
Fang Haolong, a deputy to the National People's Congress and Party secretary of Lizu village, Houzhai sub-district, Yiwu, was happy to learn that the tourism industry is recovering with the arrival of spring.
In recent years, Lizu village has improved its appearance, taken advantage of its rural characteristics, and created a series of tourism projects to promote common prosperity through the integration of culture and tourism. Many villagers have benefited financially from a boom in rural tourism.
To offer young people more opportunities in the countryside, Lizu village has invited a special team to cultivate a group of agricultural entrepreneurs and attract more than 200 distinctive agricultural entrepreneurs. Many domestic and foreign makers have settled in the village and are driving the development of the rural economy.
"Nowadays, many young people who return to the countryside actively participate in rural revitalization and grassroots governance. They have become a new force ehind rural prosperity and have accumulated long-term momentum for rural development," said Fang, adding that he hopes to encourage and attract more young people to participate in rural development.
