The New Energy Product Market located in the east area of Yiwu International Trade Market Area 2 started trail operations recently, attracting many merchants and buyers.

The new market is located next to the Jinyi East Light Rail International Business City Station. The building, with a construction area of about 131,000 square meters, has over 490 shops on the first and second floors and parking areas in two underground floors and the fourth and fifth floors.

According to the market's management staff, the new energy products are integrated with daily consumer goods, outdoor goods, and electrical industries. Products include solar-powered charging lights, flashlights, storage batteries, and portable solar power generating equipment, with strong demand for both domestic and foreign trade. Statistics showed that, in 2022, Yiwu exported solar batteries worth 29.48 billion yuan ($4.35 billion), a 92 percent increase from the previous year.
