Yiwu's GDP up 4.6% in 2022

The GDP of Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, grew 4.6 percent year-on-year in 2022 to 183.55 billion yuan ($27.06 billion), ranking first in Jinhua.

The increase rate was 1.5 percentage points and 2.1 percentage points higher than the provincial and municipal averages.

Last year, the added value of the city's primary industry totaled 2.69 billion yuan, up 1.5 percent year-on-year, that of the secondary industry amounted to 61.63 billion yuan, up 8.2 percent year-on-year, and that of the tertiary industry reached 119.24 billion yuan, up 3 percent year-on-year.

The output value of Yiwu's industries above designated size increased 3.5 percent year-on-year in 2022, reaching 163.93 billion yuan, while the operating revenue of enterprises in the service industry above designated size totaled 32.8 billion yuan in the first 11 months of last year, a year-on-year increase of 14.2 percent.

The total retail sales of consumer goods in the city amounted to 105.78 billion yuan in 2022, up 2.3 percent year-on-year.

Yiwu's imports and exports expanded by 22.7 percent year-on-year last year to 478.8 billion yuan.

Exports grew 18 percent year-on-year to 431.64 billion yuan while imports increased 93.5 percent year-on-year to 471.6 billion yuan.

Yiwu also saw a year-on-year increase of 15.8 percent in fixed asset investment in 2022, ranking fourth in Jinhua.
