As the country optimizes and adjusts its epidemic prevention and control measures, the cargo throughput of four main logistics parks in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province, has rebounded rapidly.

Since December, the average daily traffic flow of the Yiwu Domestic Highway Port Logistics Park has increased from 25,000 to 30,000. In addition, cargo throughput has increased from 27,000 metric tons to 32,000 tons per day, a year-on-year increase of 17 percent.

Zhan Xiaojun, director of Sanzhi Logistics Co, an enterprise engaged in domestic trunk logistics, said the company now sends over 20 17.5-meter trucks each day, carrying various kinds of commodities from Yiwu and surrounding counties and cities.

Zhan was optimistic about future development, noting that the company's cargo throughput this year will likely see a 20-percent increase over last year and return to pre-pandemic levels next year.
