14 key projects start construction in Yiwu
Construction started on a total of 14 key projects in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province on Nov 25.
The 14 projects, which have a total investment exceeding 26.1 billion yuan ($3.74 billion), include the Yiwu Global Digital Trade Center, Yiwu (Suxi) International Hub Port, and another 12 projects focusing on key industries, cultural and tourism, and quality of life.
Zhejiang China Commodity City Group Co Ltd will spend 8 billion yuan on the Yiwu Global Digital Trade Center, which will be built in Futian sub-district and cover an area of about 570 mu (38 hectares) and a total construction area of 1.3 million square meters.
It will focus on trade in services, industrial cultivation, innovation and creativity, dynamic business, imported commodities, and popular brands, providing one-stop services related to work and life for merchants.
With a planned investment of 2.8 billion yuan, the Yiwu (Suxi) International Hub Port will cover over 1,000 mu to focus on Ningbo-Yiwu rail-sea intermodal business for foreign trade. It will be made up of various areas for loading goods, storing containers, customs supervision, and offices.
