A senior provincial official noted that more efforts should be made to slash burdens on businesses, promote innovation and employment, and optimize the business climate.
Wang Wenxu, vice governor of Zhejiang province, made the comments while inspecting Taizhou from Wednesday to Thursday.
While visiting the national quality testing center of intelligent toilets in the city, Wang stressed that enhancement of technology, standards and quality is key to strengthening products’ competiveness.
She also visited several local companies including Zhejiang Kaihua Mold Co Ltd, Zhejiang Shuanghuan Driveline Co Ltd and SHIMGE Pump Industry Group.
Innovation drives high-quality development, Wang pointed out, calling for local companies to ride the wave of the new round of industrial revolution, step up digitalized transformation and develop high-end products.
She said that science and technological innovation is powered by talents, adding that attraction of more talents should be a top priority for local government, as it plays a pivotal role in bolstering economic growth.
The governor also emphasized the significance of employment, saying that it is another key task local authorities should focus on.
