The Algerian embassy in China decided to authorize the Zhejiang foreign affairs service center to handle all types of visa applications for private passports from Zhejiang and its surrounding areas on Aug 5.
The center is currently the only local foreign affairs service institution in China to enjoy such a relationship with the Algerian embassy.
Applicants only need to submit relevant materials to the service center in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province to process their visas. This means that residents of Zhejiang can complete their visa processing without leaving the province, and those from surrounding provinces do not need to travel far.
Previously, businesses and individuals were required to submit visa materials to the embassy in Beijing.
According to local government authorities, an increasing number of Zhejiang enterprises and residents are looking to conduct business, invest, work, and travel in Algeria, a trend expected to continue in the future.
