Quzhou's first ocean world commences construction

Construction has commenced on Quzhou's first ocean world in Zhejiang province on Jan 12, as reported by local media.
The 300-million-yuan ($41.94 million) facility will span 19.77mu (1.32 hectares) and is slated to open to the public in October 2025.
The four-floor facility will feature a 90-meter-long underwater tunnel, a mermaid pavilion, a large-scale fantasy jellyfish pavilion, a diving club, a shark pavilion, a penguin pavilion, an ice and snow world, and a large sea lion performance hall.
Serving as a comprehensive ocean world exhibition center, it will integrate sightseeing, science education, and marine animal performances, according to authorities.
