Liucun village in Longyou county, Quzhou, Zhejiang province was officially recognized as one of the hometowns of traditional operas by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism on Dec 13, 2022.

In total, 22 places throughout the province received the honor.

Liucun village boasts a private Wuju Opera troupe which has staged more than 120 performances of Wuju Opera and Yueju Opera over the past three years, delighting over 60,000 audience members.
