7 Quzhou places earn provincial recognition for improving urban, rural landscapes

Seven places in Quzhou, Zhejiang province were recognized provincially for their efforts to improve urban and rural landscapes, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development announced on Dec 20.
Among them, Baiyun subdistrict in Kecheng district has adhered to a people-centered philosophy to improve the living environment by upgrading infrastructure, adding green spaces, and installing recreational facilities.
Jiangshan has been focusing on upgrading rural landscapes around the Jianglang Mountain, a world natural heritage site, by building boutique homestays and creating artificial landscapes.
Changshan county, which is home to Fangcun village, a traditional Chinese village, has made a series of efforts to renovate its ancient buildings.
