Zhejiang Huakang Pharmaceutical Co Ltd recently obtained the first certificate of origin of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) at the 24-hour self-service area of an administrative service center in Kaihua county, Quzhou.
Li Yan, the company's international customer service manager, said that the certificate will allow the company's xylitol products, worth $120,000, to enjoy a tariff reduction of about $7,800 when exported to Japan.
"The self-service integrated machine in the administrative service center nearby allows people to print their certificates of origin by just pressing a few buttons, which is very convenient for foreign trade companies," added Li.
Kaihua county is located far from downtown Quzhou. According to a Quzhou Customs official, the customs department focuses on the high-quality development of counties in mountainous areas and helping companies take advantage of relevant rules.
