Confucius memorial ceremony
A Confucius memorial ceremony is a ritual held at Confucius temples to worship and commemorate the great sage and educator, Confucius.
Quzhou is home to many of Confucius's descendants, and its Temple of Southern Confucianism is one of only two Confucian temples in China.
The Quzhou Confucius Temple insists on holding a small memorial ceremony every year, a medium-sized ceremony every two years, and a grand ceremony every five years.
