Ningxia displayed its premium wines at the seventh China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on Nov 5.
The 108-square-meter Ningxia booth features a tasting area, a national gift section, and corporate display zones, highlighting the diversity and quality of wines from Helan Mountain's eastern foothills.
Fifteen renowned wineries, including Pernod Ricard Winery, Silver Heights Winery, and Helanhong Winery, offer over 130 distinctive local wines.
The exhibition has attracted significant attention, particularly from three international winemakers who enthusiastically explain the winemaking process, flavor profiles, and rich cultural heritage of Ningxia wines.
"I was pleasantly surprised by the Ningxia wines I tasted today, and I'm eager to learn more about the wines from Helan Mountain's eastern foothills," said Liu Qinrong, an exhibitor from Anhui province.
Wang Yu, the brand manager of Silver Heights, hoped that this event would expand the reach of Ningxia wines and enhance the global influence of eastern foothill wines.
Sales of eastern foothill wines reached 910 million yuan ($127.60 million) in the first three quarters of this year, a 4.8 percent increase year over year. Ningxia wines are now exported to over 40 countries and regions.
