A promotional event for Chinese opera was held at Yinchuan Theater in Ningxia over the weekend.
As part of the event, the prestigious Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe presented special excerpts from the Tale of the Sword: Night Ride, The Peony Pavilion: A Stroll in the Garden, and Journey to the West: Borrowing the Fan operas. Members of the troupe put on a masterful performance, with more than a thousand teachers and students getting a bravura display of traditional Chinese theatrical art.

The event provided teachers and students with a valuable platform to engage with the arts and served as an important means to inspire artistic pursuits among teachers and students, enhancing their aesthetic appreciation and artistic cultivation.
Yinchuan Theater has plans to offer a diverse range of performances, including dramas, dance dramas, musicals, symphonies, children’s plays, and concerts, and invite more university students, teachers, and residents into the theater to enjoy a "cultural feast" together.
