Actor Wu Lei presents at 15th CSFE in Ya'an, Sichuan

The 15th Annual Cross-Strait Film Exhibition (CSFE) opened on May 28 in Ya'an, Sichuan province. Well-known young actor Wu Lei from the Chinese mainland is present at the acclaimed film event.

Wu Lei, who started his acting career at age 5, drew great attention for his role of Xiao Feiliu in the popular costume drama Nirvana in Fire (Lang Ya Bang). In many films and TV series, such as Shadow (Ying), Upcoming Summer (Sheng Xia Guang Nian), The Long Ballad (Chang Ge Xing), Love Like The Galaxy (Xing Han Can Lan) and Amidst a Snowstorm of Love (Zai Bao Xue Shi Fen), he has successfully portrayed legendary characters, winning recognition from the audience and gaining many fans.

Wu Lei attended the opening ceremony of the 15th CSFE on May 28. Additionally, the film Dwelling by the West Lake (Cao Mu Ren Jian), in which he stars, will be screened at the event as a specially invited film by Ya'an.

The film Dwelling by the West Lake (Cao Mu Ren Jian) won the Kurosawa Akira Award at the 36th Tokyo International Film Festival. The film tells the story of the son (portrayed by Wu Lei) He Muli rescuing his mother Wu Taihua (played by Jiang Qinqin) who is deeply involved in a pyramid scheme.

Wu Lei will also participate in a post-screening event, meeting with the audience and sharing the stories behind the film's creation.
