Film guests of Chinese mainland announced for the CSFE
The 15th Cross-Strait Film Exhibition is being held in Ya'an, Sichuan province from May 27 to 31. Numerous guests of the film industry from both sides of the Taiwan Strait have been invited to the event.
Let's check out the guest lineup from the Chinese mainland.
Director Feng Xiaogang
Feng Xiaogang is a well-known film director, whose works include The Dream Factory (Jia Fang Yi Fang), A World Without Thieves (Tian Xia Wu Zei), Aftershock (Tangshan Earthquake), Cell Phone (Shou Ji), and many others. Feng's films have been deeply loved by audiences. Feng has repeatedly won the annual box office champion title, and is a recipient of the Golden Rooster Award, the Golden Horse Award for Best Director, and the Best Director Award at the Beijing College Student Film Festival.
Director Chen Guoxing
Director Chen Guoxing has contributed many classic works to the Chinese film industry. His notable works include Roaring Across the Horizon (Heng Kong Chu Shi), Kong Fansen, First Secretary (Di Yi Shu Ji) and Colors of the Blind (Hei Yan Jing). He has won the Huabiao Film Award and the Golden Rooster Award multiple times, making him an indispensable and important force in the Chinese film industry.
Actress Wang Fuli
The esteemed performing artist Wang Fuli is a legendary figure in the Chinese film industry. She has won numerous awards such as the Golden Rooster Award and the Hundred Flowers Award for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress. Films she starred in, like Jin Hua Da Dao, Legend of Tianyun Mountain, Our Niu Baishui, and Sunrise (Ri Chu), are well-known to the public.
Actor Zhu Shimao
Zhu Shimao has not only achieved remarkable success as an actor but has also successfully ventured into directing films, such as Love Retake (Ai Qing Bu NG) and Quitting Smoking Without Quitting Drinking (Jie Yan Bu Jie Jiu). His performances in The Herdsman (Mu Ma Ren) and Doctor Kotnis (Ke Dihua Yisheng) have been greatly loved by audiences. What he is most famous for, however, are his outstanding performances in the classic sketch comedies Eating Noodles and Lead Role and Supporting Role, which never fail to bring endless laughter to the audience.
Actress Cong Shan
Cong Shan, with her outstanding performance in the film Liang Jia Fu Nv, was honored with the Golden Rooster Award for Best Actress. The film The Herdsman (Mu Ma Ren), in which she co-starred with Zhu Shimao, shows the cooperation and brilliant interpretation between the two artists.
Actress Tao Huimin
Tao Huimin is an excellent film actress and also a Chinese opera performer. She won the Best Actress award at the Hundred Flowers Awards for her role as Lin Daiyu in the film adaptation of Dream of the Red Chamber (Hong Lou Meng).
Actress Yue Hong
Yue Hong is a renowned actress who won the Golden Rooster Award for Best Actress for her role as Gui Lan in the film as Ye Shan. She also received the Golden Rooster Award for Best Supporting Actress for her outstanding performance in A Tale of Two Donkeys (Zou Zhe Qiao). She has delivered excellent performances in many well-known film and television works such as Ba Nv Tou Jiang and Black Snow (Ben Ming Nian), earning her a great deal of audience admiration.
Actor Tong Ruixin
Tong Ruixin's notable works in film and television include The Founding of an Army (Jian Jun Da Ye), Beginning of the Great Revival (Jian Dang Wei Ye), Shanghai Cang Sang and The Grand Join Forces (Chang Zheng Da Hui Shi).
Actress Xia Jing

He has been honored with awards like the Annual Excellent Actor at the Domestic TV Series Ceremony.
Young director Dai Mo
Director Dai Mo has directed films like Qiu Zhuang Shan Dian, Fireflies in the Sun (Wu Sha 2) and Endless Journey (San Da Dui), which will also be screened in during the event.
Young director Liu Yulin
As a rising star among the younger generation of directors, Liu Yulin has directed several highly acclaimed films with her unique perspective and keen observation. Her works include films like Yi Ju Ding Wan Ju, Just For Meeting You (Nian Nian Xiang Wang) and In Our Prime (Pu Tong Nan Nv), which have won the love and recognition of audiences.
Young director Cui Rui
Director Cui Rui has directed films such as Lost in the Stars (Xiao Shi De Ta), Yu Hu Die, and Free Choice (Zi You Yi Zhi). He has received awards such as the Best Director at the North America International Youth Film Festival.
Young director Cai Erduo
The artistic journey of the emerging director Cai Erduo is filled with exploration and innovation. Not only has she served as an assistant director in several major productions such as My People, My Country (Wo He Wo De Zu Guo), The Eight Hundred (Ba Bai), and Sacrifice (Jin Gang Chuan), but her independently directed work Love Life Light (Zhao Ming Shang Dian) ingeniously integrates suspense, fantasy, and warmth, creating a unique style.
CCTV-6 hostesss Guo Wei
CCTV-6 hostess Guo Wei began hosting the film recommendation program Super Star (Guang Ying Xing Bo Ke) on CCTV-6 in 2010. In recent years, she has hosted various events including the Beijing International Sports Film Week, Shanghai International Film Festival, Beijing International Film Festival, Beijing College Student Film Festival, China Film Huabiao Awards ceremony, Silk Road International Film Festival, and China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival. Guo Wei will host the opening ceremony of this year's CSFE.
