The 15th Annual Cross-Strait Film Exhibition opens in Ya'an, Sichuan
The 15th Cross-Strait Film Exhibition is being held in Ya'an, Sichuan province on May 27 to 31. A series of events including thematic screenings, post-screening meetings with filmmakers and a film exchange forum is expected to be conducted during the five-day event.
The film exhibition has been jointly organized by the China Film Foundation, the Cross-Strait Film Exchange Committee, China Film Group Corporation and local authorities.
At the opening ceremony held on the morning of May 28, senior filmmakers and industry experts from both sides of the Taiwan Strait gathered in Ya'an, marking the beginning of dialogue and cultural integration between the two sides in the film industry.
After the opening ceremony, eight films from Taiwan and a film from the mainland will be presented during these days.
Taking this event as an opportunity, filmmakers from both sides will engage in the exchanges and seminars focusing on the current status of film industries across the Taiwan Strait, in a bid to share their experiences in film production, technological innovations and market expansion, and jointly promote the prosperity and growth of the film industries.
