A glimpse of beautiful China: Jincheng, Shanxi

The Taihang Mountains stand tall and lofty, and the clear water of Qinhe River rushes east into the sea. At the southern foot of the Taihang Mountains, and the bank of Qinhe River lies a city of poetic and picturesque splendor. It is Jincheng city, Shanxi province.
Today, Jincheng has many honorable titles, including National Model City, International Garden City, and World Health Care Demonstration City, to name a few. People here are proud of the city, and all feel content.
Since the 18th CPC National Congress, those engaged in ecological protection in Jincheng have demonstrated their great ambition, fearless pioneering spirit and unwavering confidence and determination. They have fought for blue skies, clear water, and pollution-free soil.
The great efforts made by Jincheng have brought back fresh air, better water quality and an improved ecology. In 2021, Jincheng's concentration of PM2.5 went down to 35 mcg per cu m, reaching the national Grade II standard for the first time. Among the 28 major cities in and around Beijing, Tianjin, Jincheng's air quality ranked second, just behind Beijing.
Going through the history and entering a new era in the future, Jincheng will continue resolutely carry out the eco-protection of the Yellow River Basin, and sticking to the national strategy of high-quality development. It will also make efforts to improve its eco-environment, aiming to build a Beautiful China.
