Expats explore rural common prosperity in Tonglu

A delegation of expats from Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province embarked on a tour of Tonglu on Nov 18 to explore how the county administered by Hangzhou pursues common prosperity in rural areas.
The delegation visited Luci village and Shishe village in Fuchunjiang town and experienced traditional Chinese art forms including paper cutting and embroidered shoes. They also sampled some local cuisines like zongzi, or sticky rice dumplings, and mishaipa, a dish featuring dough balls garnished with shredded taro, potato, dried bamboo shoots, pickles, radish and ribs.
They were also shown what a future village is like at a hall which is powered by digital technologies.
During their visit, Fuchunjiang town inaugurated an observation station, a facility designed to showcase local common prosperity achievements to people from across the world.
