The "Exciting Hangzhou" Tonglu Equestrian Eventing Invitational 2022 opened in Tonglu county, East China's Zhejiang province on June 7.
The contest, slated to run until June 9, will see nine riders and their horses compete in dressage, cross-country and endurance riding, and stadium show jumping.
The event was staged at the Tonglu Equestrian Center, the venue for the equestrian events of the 19th Asian Games, which has been postponed.
China's star eventing rider Alex Hua Tian visited the equestrian center in late November 2021 and hailed the stadium as one of the best venues he has ever been to.
The 102 volunteers for the Asian Games' equestrian events were also involved, using the event as a means to prepare for the Games.
