Sixty-one paintings and calligraphy works created by 21 artists from Tonglu county, East China's Zhejiang province were auctioned off on Feb 15.
The charity auction, which is in its third edition, attracted more than 100 bidders, most of whom were entrepreneurs and individual business owners.
The raised funds will be donated to local charity agencies, according to local authorities.
The auction was aimed at showcasing Tonglu's achievements in painting and calligraphy and helping the county pursue common prosperity, according to to Shu Yuchun, curator of Ye Qianyu Art Museum, the venue for the event.
