Xi'an holds track and field test event for National Games

The track and field test competition for China's 14th National Games and the 2021 track and field invitational tournament (Northwest division) opened on April 27 at the stadium of Xi'an Olympic Sports Center.
Located in Xi'an International Trade and Logistics Park, Xi'an Olympic Sports Center will serve as the main venue for the 14th National Games, which is scheduled to be held on Sept 15-27.
A total of 293 athletes participated in the two-day competition, including 60 from national teams.
The competition included men's and women's running races, high jump, pole jump, long jump, triple jump and javelin throwing, among other events.
The stadium of Xi'an Olympic Sports Center is qualified to host world-class track and field events. It is also the first venue in Northwest China to be certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations.

"This is a modern stadium. Training and playing in such an elite venue make it easy for us athletes to get excited. This is conducive to creating good results. I also look forward to achieving success in China's 14th National Games," said Zhu Yaming, a triple jumper from the national team.
During China's 14th National Games, Xi'an Olympic Sports Center will host the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as many important events, including track and field, swimming and diving activities.
