Yum China named official exclusive supplier of western food catering services for Hangzhou 2022

Yum China－which owns the rights to operate KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell in the country－announced that it has been named as the official exclusive supplier of western food catering services of the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 on Friday in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province.

Yum China will provide retail food services for the Games. Yum China's brands, including KFC, Pizza Hut will be on site at the Hangzhou 2022 venues providing food and refreshment for visitors and athletes from around the world.

"We are honored to be the official exclusive supplier of western food catering services of Hangzhou 2022, " said Joey Wat, CEO of Yum China, who vowed that Yum China will be committed to leveraging its brand influence, a strong offline and online network, as well as a smart and efficient food supply chain, helping to hold a "Green, Smart, Economical, Ethical" Games.

Mao Genhong, deputy secretary-general of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee, said that he hoped Yum China will use its rich experience in sports sponsorship to provide strong support in food catering services for the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Yum China has been providing food catering services for multiple international events including the G20 summit and the World Economic Forum and was named as the official retail food services sponsor of the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in July last year.
