Bearings produce new energy for development in Linxi, Hebei province

In recent years, focusing on the goal of building "an important medium and high-end bearing production base in North China" and "a national advanced equipment manufacturing base", Linxi County has improved the environment, built platforms, promoted the transformation, so as to move the bearing industry forward to high-end, intelligent and green, and accelerate the transformation and upgrading of bearing industry as well as high-quality development.

Inline with the Linxi philosophy of putting customers  first, doing what they say, doing it right away, and ensuring satisfaction, "business specialist" and "service specialist" have been launched to provide caring services for enterprises. The county has issued a series of measures, such as industrial chain development planning of the bearing industry cluster, three product project action and transformation of 100 enterprises to further clarify the development goal and path of the bearing industry. Since this year, nine bearing projects with a total investment of 1.03 billion yuan have been newly signed in the county, and eight bearing projects such as Quark and Ridachang have been put into operation. In 2019, the sales revenue of bearing industry cluster reached 19.48 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 7.2%.

Last year, the Linxi China bearing exhibition and the development of the bearing industry summit were held, where more than 200 national enterprises participated, with thousands of "fist" products from 80 enterprises in the county displayed. It attracted more than 30,000 people and 10 projects, including bearing industries with a investment of 12.6 billion yuan, were signed. Seven industry experts including Zhou Yu, Secretary General of CBIA(China Bearing Industry Association), He Jiaqun, senior consultant of CBIA and chief expert of bearing industry in Linxi County, made keynote speeches, which enhanced the reputation of Linxi bearings. After the exhibition, another 9 new enterprises found clients overseas and the county’s products are now exported to more than 40 countries and regions, including those along the Belt and Road initiative.

Eight technical transformation projects of the county were selected into the "thousand technical transformation project library" of Hebei Province in 2019.The project of "precision forming manufacturing technology and application of light and narrow series tapered bearing rings" of Xintai bearing has  obtained 9 national patents. The ultra-high speed cylindrical roller bearings with abrasion resistance from Hebei bearing industry technology research institute reach P2 level, the first batch of which were applied to aircraft gearboxes, and have passed the scientific and technological achievements appraisal of CBIA. Both projects won the third prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award in 2019. The Research Institute has introduced an intelligent assembly line for ultra-high speed motor bearings, which has increased the production efficiency by more than three times. It has developed nine new products such as single row cylindrical roller bearings, among which, spindle bearings of P4 angular precision machine tool with contact ball can completely replace the imported ones. The product quality has been improved by focusing on technical innovation and R&D.

Xintai was selected in the list of 1,000 leading enterprises (the first batch) in Hebei Province in 2019,with a sales revenue of 230 million yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 10%.More than 200 i5 intelligent machine tools for bearings have been favorably introduced to build an "intelligent factory", which successfully lead it into the international high-end market. It has become the only supplier of Sweden SKF, Timken of USA and NSK of Japan in North China. This year, another 150 million yuan has been invested in the construction of intelligent workshops to build the largest demonstration base of"i5 intelligent plant" in North China. Quark Bearing has invested 400 million yuan to carry out a precise automobile bearing project, mainly producing high-precision bearings above P4 which are widely used in high-end fields such as automobiles. It is building a R&D center of precise bearing technology to develop P2 products. Feilong Bearing has invested more than 80 million yuan to build a "intelligent workshop", fully sealed and dust-free. It can produce 8 million sets of high-end precision silent ball bearings annually. Key enterprises have been upgraded by increasing investment and expanding their scale.

The bearing industrial park was awarded the provincial demonstration base of innovation and entrepreneurship, and the only park in Xingtai to win the award in that batch. The completion and operation of the mass entrepreneurship base based on bearing industry can provide entrepreneurs with complete services such as entrepreneurship guidance, rent preference and financing support. With online supply chain  platform and the help of "Internet plus bearing industry and upstream and downstream resources", the county has formed a comprehensive supply chain service system, including supply chain management, supply chain B2B transactions, intelligent cloud storage, online supply chain financial services, intensive logistics distribution services, etc. Over the past year, more than 2,500 enterprises have settled in, the online transaction volume has exceeded 400 million yuan, more than 60 million yuan has been raised for bearing enterprises in the county, and enterprises in the county purchase more than 5,000 tons of bearing steel through the platform every month. Platform functions have been improved by strong service and chain extension.
