Beijing announces reopening of schools

From the end of this month, schools will reopen in Beijing, according to an announcement made by the education authority on Sunday.
Primary and middle school students will gradually start their in-campus classes for the fall semester starting on August 29 with different dates for different grades, it said.
The first grade students for primary schools, the first and the final grades for junior high schools, and all senior high school students will go back to campus on Aug 29.
The fifth grade and final grade students for the primary schools, as well as the second grade students in junior high schools, will go back to campus on Sep 1.
The rest of the grades in the primary schools will start their fall semester on Sep 7.
Children in the second and third year of kindergartens will go back to campus on Sep 8 and the first year kids will start their kindergarten life on Sep 11.
All the training institutions should resume their classes after applying for the approval from the authorities.
Colleges in the capital should start organizing students to go back to campus gradually starting on Aug 15 provided the epidemic prevention measures in the colleges are fully undertaken.
