Organizers of the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games have announced a worldwide competition of animation works for the event.
The original mascot animation competition for the Hangzhou Asian Games was launched here on Monday.
Mascots Congcong, Lianlian, and Chenchen have received wide acclaim since they were introduced to the public online in April of this year.
The competition is open to all, aiming to find mascot animation products with distinctive features, liveliness, and easy dissemination, according to the organizers of the Games.
All submissions should take the mascot as the main character and integrate the concept of "green" "frugality" "intelligence" and "civilized" into the design. The animation images require not only to show the Olympic spirit but also the culture and value of China and Hangzhou.
The competition is set to last about two months, according to the organizers.
The submission deadline is September 10 and the first-prize winner will receive 500,000 RMB (about 71,000 US dollars).
