A plane painted with patterns characterizing the 19th Asian Games, which is to be held in Hangzhou in 2022, made its debut at the local international airport on June 15.
At 11:43 am, the B-1673 Slogan of Asian Games taxied on the parking apron and was given a water salute, an airport tradition which honors new aircraft by having two firefighting rigs spray arcs of water over it.
The plane was painted with patterns inspired by elements of the Asian Games. The front part of the fuselage was adorned with "Tides Surging", a core element of the Games emblem, while the tail was imprinted with the slogan "Heart to Heart, @Future".
The plane was also spruced up by colors of the Asian Games mascots, as well as blue, the color of Loong Airlines, the official airline services provider for the Games.
A director from Loong Airlines said the plane will be immediately put into service. More planes painted with Hangzhou 2022 characteristics will be unveiled soon to showcase Hangzhou's ecology, history, culture and penchant for innovation.
