13th Asian Games: Bangkok 1998
The 13th Asian Games were held from Dec 6 to 20, 1998 in Bangkok, Thailand. It was the first time that Thailand had hosted the event after it shouldered postponed hosting rights in 1970 and 1978.

The main body of the emblem of the 13th Asian Games was a Thai spire pagoda. The design was similar to the ninth Asian Games which looked like an "A", representing the Asian people as one family.
