Tonglu county named 'Natural Oxygen Bar of China'

Tonglu county of Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, was awarded the title of Natural Oxygen Bar of China in Beijing on July 18.

The Natural Oxygen Bar of China is organized by the China Meteorological Service Association and declared voluntarily by regions every year.

Qualified areas are recognized and given awards according to a comprehensive evaluation of the regional tourism climate and ecological environment quality, including climate, air quality, atmospheric anion level, ecological and tourism development planning, and tourism facilities.

Dubbed the "most beautiful county in China", Tonglu is endowed with a beautiful ecological environment and abundant natural resources. Around 74.4 percent of the county is covered with forest, which is far above the national average.

The county will tap into the development of green industries by relying on its unique ecological environment, combination of agricultural and tourism industries, high content of negative oxide ions and mature tourism facilities in the future.
