Over a thousand guests, alumni, teachers and students gathered at Xi'an Eurasia University in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China, to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The event highlighted the university’s rich history and achievements. Before the ceremony began, attendees watched a promotional video titled "Being a Beam of Light in an Ordinary World", which traced the university’s journey from its inception to its current success, sparking prolonged applause from the audience. From the initial seed of education planted to its thriving growth today, the pride and emotion felt by the Eurasian people caused applause to echo in the audience for a long time.At 9:00 am on October 18, the 30th anniversary celebration of Xi'an Eurasia University officially kicked off, presided over by the university’s vice president Zhang Lefang.
Party secretaries, presidents, founders, chairmen, vice presidents and other colleagues from 91 universities across the country, along with partners from 137 enterprises and institutions, 102 alumni representatives from local alumni associations, and 49 media friends attended the conference, witnessing the historic moment of 30 years of hard work and glory of Xi'an Eurasia University.

Zhao Guohua stated that for the past thirty years, the school has consistently adhered to the Party's education policy, promoted the deep integration of value shaping, knowledge imparting, and ability cultivation, explored the development path of private higher education with distinctive characteristics, excellent quality, and outstanding contributions, and accurately matched the talent needs of national strategies and regional economic development. Zhao said that his university adheres to the concept of open education, cooperates with more than 70 universities worldwide, and builds an ecosystem with over 1,200 enterprises, providing nearly 160,000 high-quality applied talents to society and winning wide recognition from the government and society.
Shen Xuefeng, a key figure in Shaanxi's education sector, praised Xi'an Eurasia University's 30-year evolution from a single-discipline institution to a multifaceted, internationally-oriented university. He highlighted its shift from traditional teaching to innovative, application-focused education, and its rise from regional influence to national prominence. Shen hopes for the University to further reform its educational approaches, align professional training with industry needs, enhance faculty development, and pursue high-quality, distinctive growth. He envisions it becoming a leading application-oriented private university in China, contributing significantly to strengthening both the province and the nation in education.
Li Lianning, honorary president of the China Private Education Association, highly praised the achievements of Xi'an Eurasia University over the past 30 years, stating that the brilliant accomplishments of the school cannot be separated from its core figures, Hu Jianbo, chairman and president of Xi'an Eurasia University. Hu Jianbo put forward the goal of building a new type of university by integrating international experience, advocating for marketing and innovation, emphasizing the creation of value for society, and leading the school to achieve strategic upgrades. Over the past 30 years, the university has consistently ranked first in the alumni association of China's private universities in finance and economics for 12 consecutive years, becoming the only private university in Shaanxi Province to pilot the national education system reform.
It has been proven through practice that private universities can achieve high-quality education through characteristic development, becoming an experimental base for educational reform and an important field for cultivating applied talents, Li said.
Professor Michael Harkin, vice-chancellor and principal of the Birmingham University College in the UK, announced at the celebration that in 2026, the University of Birmingham and Xi'an Eurasia University will officially launch a dual degree program in computer science, allowing students to obtain degrees from both universities, integrating academic excellence from the UK with the vitality of digital innovation in China.
The program will cultivate a new generation of graduates with a global perspective, innovative thinking, and cross-cultural collaboration abilities, said Michael Harkin.

On the 30th anniversary of Xi'an Eurasia University, Hu Jianbo expressed heartfelt gratitude , on behalf over 20000 teachers and students as well as 160000 alumni, to all supporters of the university.
Over the past 30 years, the university has evolved from humble beginnings in rented classrooms to a pioneering institution in national education reform, dedicated to fostering diverse growth paths beyond traditional evaluation criteria.
“We adhere to committed to deepening our education philosophy, which is guided by enterprises and centered on students. We are transitioning from a pyramid management model to a flexible, honeycomb style, aiming to stimulate the creative vitality of every teacher and student. For the past 30 years, we have followed the path of invisible champions - closely aligning with the real needs of industries and enterprises, and supporting students their growth journeys,” Hu said.

At the celebration, the school presents awards to representatives of enterprises that have won the "Eurasia Education Public Service Award".
