The high school of Beijing Chaoyang Foreign Language School celebrated the opening of the 2025-2026 academic year on Sept 4, under the theme of the  "Honoring the Heroes of the Past, Committing to a Bright Future.”

Coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the ceremony focused on reflecting on history and passing on its spirit.

It served not only as an introduction to the new semester but also as a vibrant lesson in patriotism, inspiring everyone at the ceremony to embark on their new journey with determination.

For the new first-year high school students, military training in late August, represented a unique introduction to their high school experience.

Amidst applause, the freshmen, clad in camouflage uniforms, showcased the results of their training under the guidance of their instructors.

The school principal Wang Xiucai emphasized two core values during the event: The first is "Integrity." As the ancient saying goes, "A person without trust cannot stand." He hopes that everyone at the school will adhere to the principle of "deceiving neither others nor oneself," and act with the conviction that "once a promise is made, no mountain can obstruct."

The second value is "Gratitude." From the time students are nurtured at home to when they become well-read, every step requires the care of parents, teachers, society, and the nation. He urged students to "treat parents with kindness at home and show respect to teachers at school."

He particularly emphasized that the school aims to cultivate not only academically excellent students but also individuals with ideals, skills, and a sense of responsibility.

When graduating return to their elementary schools to visit their first teachers or confidently participate in admissions consultations, it stands as the best testament to the school's educational success.

Finally, Principal Wang called on all faculty and students with the words, "Since you have chosen Chaoyang, let us grow together." He reminded everyone to uphold safety, abide by school rules and regulations, diligently pursue their studies, and foster unity and mutual assistance, collectively writing a new chapter for both the school and themselves.
