In a vibrant celebration of cultural exchange, international students from Gansu University of Chinese Medicine recently embarked on an immersive journey into the world of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Lanzhou, Gansu province.

On Nov 14, 42 foreign students visited Lanzhou Foci Pharmaceutical Company, a century-old enterprise dedicated to herbal medicine research and production to learn about its rich history and innovative approach to traditional medicine.

On the same day, another 12 international postgraduate students explored the unique Dunhuang Medical Specialty Clinic. This groundbreaking facility showcases a distinctive branch of TCM with deep historical roots. Students delved into ancient medical practices, observing demonstrations of acupuncture, cupping, and traditional massage techniques that highlight the depth and complexity of Chinese healing traditions.

The highlight for many students was the opportunity to experience TCM firsthand. Han Li from Kazakhstan tried acupuncture, expressing her desire to open a TCM clinic in her home country. Roman from Russia shared his hope that TCM would continue to flourish globally, reflecting the growing international interest in this ancient medical practice.

This journey goes beyond a simple educational tour. It is a carefully crafted platform designed to help foreign students deeply understand TCM's cultural significance and practical applications.
