The "First iFlytek Cup Chinese Poetry Competition for Global Overseas Chinese Youth" reached its pinnacle at the Conference Center of Xidian University South Campus on August 4.
The final competition is held on August 4 at Xidian University headquartered in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China.
The competition was a collaborative effort between Yokohama Yamate Chinese School, iFlytek Group, Xidian University, ICEC International Chinese Education Center Co., Ltd., and Shaanxi Lianqiao Education Development Group.
A total of 130 participants from 15 overseas Chinese schools across 10 countries worldwide participated in the competition. The finals saw 40 contestants divided into four groups through a random selection process, with each group of 10 contestants engaging in a spirited showdown. Young Chinese participants from diverse nations showcased their skills in ancient poetry, with the audience eagerly participating by answering questions.
Fei Jialin, a student from Yokohama Yamate Chinese School, clinched the top honor while eight other students who were also victorious secured the second and third prices in the competition.

The iFlytek Cup Chinese Poetry Competition attracted nearly a thousand contestants from 20 countries between May and July 2024. Leveraging iFlytek's AI Reading Pavilion for poetry recitation and speech recognition, the top 280 contestants were selected using big data ranking technology.
Following a thorough evaluation by the competition organizing committee, 130 individuals from 10 countries, including Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Egypt, the United States, South Korea, and Japan, advanced to the Xi'an Summer Camp finals.

After the competition, all young Chinese contestants embarked on a five-day research excursion, exploring cultural sites such as the Chang'an Twelve Hour Poetry Culture Palace, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Great Tang Sleepless City, the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum, iFLYTEK Silk Road Headquarters, Xi'an Ming City Wall, and Xi'an Museum.
