The 2022 Accommodation Academy of Xidian University, in collaboration with the university's Division of International Cooperation and Exchanges, recently organized an event titled "Appreciating the Beauty of Tea and Promoting Cultural Exchange", in which over 30 Chinese and international students participated in a traditional cultural class.

The event, focusing on the Song Dynasty (960-1279) tea ceremony, was divided into two main parts: the tea ceremony and chabaixi (painting on the ground tea leaves with plain water), aiming to help Chinese and international students appreciate the beauty of traditional Chinese culture through an immersive experience of the Song Dynasty tea ceremony.
"The Song Dynasty tea ceremony gave me a sense of the elegance of Chinese tea art, and I look forward to participating in more activities like this to further appreciate the charm of traditional Chinese culture," said Chin Min Yuen, a student from Malaysia.

The event is part of a series of traditional cultural courses offered by the Accommodation Academy of Xidian University.
The academy has held 34 classes since March of last year, covering various distinctive traditional cultural activities such as Chinese flower arrangement, traditional seal engraving, and traditional fragrant tablet making, receiving unanimous praise from students.
In the future, the academy will continue to offer such traditional cultural courses, strengthening cultural exchanges between Chinese and international students.
