The conference, organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), attracted over 500 domestic and foreign experts and scholars. They gathered to engage in in-depth exchanges and discussions on the latest practices and industry developments in information, communication, and network technology.

During the opening ceremony, Conference Chairman and IEEE Fellow, Professor Yan Ruqiang from Xi'an Jiaotong University, highlighted the exceptional organizational team, strong academic reputation, and wide-ranging global support and sponsorship of the ICICN (International Conference on Information, Communication, and Networks). The conference provided an excellent platform for experts and scholars worldwide to share cutting-edge theories and practical achievements in the fields of information, communication, and networking.

Cheng Jiwei, executive deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Northwestern Polytechnical University, emphasized the rapid development of information, communication, and network technologies in recent years. As a leading international conference in these fields, the ICICN conference has successfully established a high-level international  platform for domestic and foreign experts and scholars. It plays a crucial role in promoting the development of related fields.

Cheng also introduced the advantageous disciplines, scientific research capabilities, and educational characteristics of Northwestern Polytechnical University. He invited experts and scholars to engage in in-depth discussions with researchers from the university to further strengthen understanding and cooperation. This collaboration aims to jointly promote scientific research and high-level development in disciplines such as internet technology, information communication, and network security.

The conference spanned three days and featured eight sub-venues divided into 20 thematic directions and three competition units. These encompassed image signal analyses and algorithms, network security and data transmission, system models in wireless communication, and network performance analysis.

Additionally, the conference awarded four Best Young Scientist Awards, three Best Papers, three Best Student Papers, three Best Oral Reports, and three Best Academic Posters.

The conference served as a platform to showcase the latest scientific research progress in disciplines such as information, communication, and network science. It also fostered international exchanges and cooperation in related fields, further enhancing China's international academic influence in these areas. Experts and scholars attending the conference fully recognized and praised its contributions.

The conference was hosted by Northwestern Polytechnical University, Southern University of Science and Technology, Beijing University of Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xidian University, Nanchang Hangkong University,  and IEEE Photonics Society. It received support from Macau University of Science and Technology, Xi'an University of Technology, and Shaanxi Normal University.
