A seminar focused on promoting high-quality development within China-Ireland educational cooperation, was held on June 9 to 10 in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China. It was hosted by Chang'an-Dublin International Transportation College at Chang'an University.

With the theme of "Integration, Innovation, and High-Quality Development of Education between China and Ireland in the New Era", the conference aimed to establish a collaborative platform for three Sino-foreign cooperative educational institutions in China, which work together with University College Dublin in Ireland. The ultimate goal was to improve the standard of international education, by providing a model for high-quality Sino-foreign cooperative education in the country.
Currently, there are three collaborative educational institutions between China and the University College Dublin. They are Beijing-Dublin International College at Beijing University Of Technology, Guangzhou Dublin International College of Life Sciences and Technology at South China Agricultural University, and Chang’an Dublin International College of Transportation at Chang’an University.

Du Qiang, principal assistant of Chang'an University, fully recognizes and appreciates the significant role played by the Chang’an Dublin International College of Transportation in introducing advanced international education resources, stimulating the endogenous development momentum of the school, and supporting its internationalization efforts.
“I hope this seminar will provide a platform for all sister universities to explore new models, experiences, and ideas for Sino-foreign cooperative education from multiple perspectives. Together, we can promote the integration and innovation of educational ideas and concepts, steadily improving the quality of international education in Sino-Irish cooperation,” said Du.
The deans of the three educational institutions in cooperation with University College Dublin gave keynote speeches, sharing their experiences, practices, and reflections on the operation and development process.
The three Sino-Irish educational institutions offer undergraduate programs in various fields, including road and bridge engineering, vehicle engineering, transportation, Internet of Things engineering, software engineering, finance, electronic information engineering, bioscience, food quality and safety, horticulture, and other Sino-foreign cooperative educational programs.
In the future, the three Sino-Irish cooperative educational institutions will work tirelessly to establish a top-notch demonstration base for Sino-foreign education cooperation. This will be achieved through the integration of innovative educational models and the provision of high-quality cooperative education.
