The inauguration ceremony of the Tianjin Artificial Intelligence Computing Center, co-established by Hebei district and Huawei, was held in Tianjin on March 18.
Composed of 41 modular computer rooms and a planned computing power of 300P, it is capable of being the "super brain" of the modern city.
"Artificial intelligence will become one of the most important boosters for economic development, and will greatly improve the efficiency of enterprises," said Zhu Qing, head of the Tianjin Artificial Intelligence Computing Center. By leveraging Huawei's technologies and product synergy advantages, the center is both autonomous and controllable.
At present, it has 58 contracted users, including 35 enterprises and 23 scientific research institutes and universities.
The digital power not only drives the upgrading of enterprises, but has also become an effective way of speeding up serving the people and improving the efficiency of social governance.
"Tiandy increases efficiency by 20 times in some scenarios with the help of its large computing power and professional algorithms. It only takes half a minute to solve a public security case that would have taken 28 days before,” said Xue Chao, head of the high-tech and Internet of Things enterprise based in Tianjin.
Zhu Peng, deputy mayor of Tianjin, said that as a piece of high-level artificial intelligence software and hardware infrastructure, the center creates a first-class ecosystem and provides high-quality services for enterprises, scientific research institutions and universities in their research, production, and industrialization. Tianjin will continue to build a complete industrial development ecosystem with more favorable policies, and an efficient government environment.
