Jointly run by the University of Nottingham and Zhejiang Wanli Education Group, UNNC was the first Sino-foreign university to be set up in China when it was founded in 2004. More than 6,000 students now study at UNNC.
To provide higher-quality education for its students, UNNC is investing 200 million yuan ($29.08 million) in the recruitment drive and hopes to attract some 20 professionals in fields like marine environment, magnetic resonance and new materials.
"UNNC was the first Sino-foreign university to be set up in China," Professor Chris Rudd, executive principal of UNNC, pointed out. "Now we want to build it into the best Sino-foreign university in China."
