A concert was held between the College of Idaho and Shanxi University on May 31, which saw students perform international classical music pieces to the gathered audience.
The event was held as part of the American university's 10-day tour of China.
The College of Idaho has an international reputation for its exploits in A cappella and choral singing.
Before the concert, Shanxi University's president Jia Suotang extended a warm welcome to the visiting students and teachers, headed by the president Charlotte Borst. Charlotte said that she hoped the memorable event could enhance mutual understanding and exchanges in music.
During the concert, performers from both schools sang traditional melodies and classic works from across the globe, including the US, Europe and China. The singers had musical accompaniment in the form of violin and piano.
